Getting an audience is hard, keeping one is even harder. And every business should have one.
When you have an audience, especially online, they have made the decision to be your audience. People can unfollow, unlike, unsubscribe at any time if they become disengaged with what you are offering them.
So how do you keep an audience once you have them?
There must be value in your content. It is not enough to blow your own trumpet about how great your business is, or what services you offer, there has to be an element of value to keep your audience engaged.
What that value is depends on what your business is. But it must give your audience reason enough to not hit that unfollow button.
